ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HOUSING

OVERVIEW:
DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director of Housing is a 12 month live-off position that oversees the administration, operation and development of the undergraduate and graduate residential housing program. Will have senior level On-call responsibility and is required to assist in emergency situations. The Assistant Director should demonstrate support and contribution to the mission of DeSales University by their life within the DeSales University community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education, or related field required; Masters preferred
• Professional residence life or student affairs experience required
• Knowledge of housing software, StarRez preferred
• Emergency on call experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• May require occasional evening and weekend work
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities
• Comfort level working with students, families, staff and faculty
• Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
