Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton, FL seeks an Assistant Director of Fitness to support the Director of Wellness with daily operational duties and to manage personal training, group fitness and fitness attendant teams.

The role requires a minimum of 4 years' experience in an exclusive fitness facility and a BS degree in Business Administration or Health Sciences, plus a professional fitness certification.

Assistant Director of Fitness (Boca Raton, FL)

Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton isseekingan Assistant Director of Fitness responsible for assisting our Director of Wellness with daily operational support andthe managementof our personal training, group fitness and fitness attendant teams. In addition toa comprehensive fitness area, our busy wellness center includesfull spa & salon operations,aquatics departmentand Café.

OurAssistant Director of Fitness must have the ability to oversee the fitness department's daily operations, propose ideas to generate revenue, effectively supervise all fitness team members. This will include the oversight of fitness programs, services, hours of operation, reception desk and locker room areas.Our selected candidate willhave an outgoing personality and will be able to manage and motivate others, as well as have excellent communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills. Our candidate must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in an exclusive fitness facility, luxury spa, private club, hotel or related environment along with a BS degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences or related field required.

Our fitness center offers all state-of-the-art equipment. All of our cardio equipment is complimented with its own personal Cardioversion flat panel television screen with remote control, and our functional training room features a ball wall, resistance bands, medicine balls, cable machines and more. An expansive Group Exercise schedule with more than 60 classes per week, including a dedicated Pilates studio, caters to every fitness level.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a proven track record of successful management and operation of a full-service fitness facility.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in an exclusive fitness facility, luxury spa, private club, hotel or related environment.
• Must have a BS degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences or related field required.
• Nationally recognized certification from a professional fitness organization required.
• Prior experience managing luxury fitness and/or spa operations preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supervising, scheduling, coaching and developing fitness professionals and support staff.
• Ability to effectively manage Personal Training, Group Fitness and daily Fitness Center operations.
• Strong working knowledge of staff scheduling, payroll/timekeeping, operational controls and performance tracking.
• Ability to identify and implement programming and revenue-generating opportunities.
• Strong member service and problem-resolution skills with a commitment to hospitality and service excellence.
• Must have the ability to motivate others and possess an outgoing, engaging personality.
• Must have excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Must be comfortable working in a hands-on, highly visible operational leadership role.
• Must be flexible and able to work nights, weekends and holidays as operational needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Wellness.
