Job Description
The Peninsula hotels is a division of The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels limited, operates twelve luxury hotels across Asia, Europe and USA. • Assistant Director of Engineering is responsible for overseeing the department, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all mechanical and technical systems.
• Report directly to the Director of Engineering.
• Being able to be part of an upcoming exciting sustainable projects.
  

Key Accountabilities

• Be a Leader- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the engineering team, providing technical guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Operations and Maintenance: Manage engineering system operation with optimum efficiency, manage and maintain facilities, equipment, and infrastructure, including scheduling repairs and routine maintenance.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations and standards.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement engineering strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets and resources for engineering projects.
• Sustainability: Manage and optimize utilities consumption, seeking and encouraging new technique aiming for maximum energy effectiveness and efficiency.
  

Requirements

• Excellence technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical and civil works.
• Prior experiences in building maintenance or construction related fields.
• Minimum 4+ years of leadership experiences in managing a team
• Fluency in English, Japanese language is an advantage
