Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years in development/fundraising, marketing, or sales.
  • Ability to create authentic relationships with alumni, donors, administrators, faculty, and students.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Passion for higher education and the liberal arts environment.
  • Ability to collaborate in a goal-directed team and manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with fundraising databases (preferably Salesforce) and MS Office.
  • Must have valid driver's license and willingness to travel evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of ~200 donor prospects to qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward gifts $1,000–$10,000.
  • Meet annual metrics for gifts at the $1,000–$10,000 level, including renewals and increases.
  • Develop plans to yield major gifts or deferred gift commitments when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Advancement team on special fundraising projects.
  • Maintain accurate donor activity records in the Salesforce database.
  • Develop partnerships with faculty and staff to align donor interests with university needs.
  • Prepare stewardship plans and conduct activities for donors.
  • Provide regular activity reports and contribute to a culture of philanthropy.
