Job summary

St. Paul Christian Early Learning in Lititz, PA, is seeking a passionate Assistant Director of Childcare to help shape a nurturing, faith-based environment where young children thrive and families feel supported.

In this leadership role, you will assist the Director with daily operations, staff management, and program development while ensuring licensing compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a childcare, preschool, or early learning setting.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a childcare environment.
• Knowledge of PA childcare licensing regulations and DHS compliance standards.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Current or ability to obtain required clearances (FBI, PA State Police, Child Abuse History).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in overseeing daily childcare center operations and staff management.
• Support curriculum planning and implementation aligned with early childhood development best practices.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare safety standards.
• Mentor, coach, and support classroom teachers and childcare staff.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with families and communicate program updates.
• Assist with enrollment, registration, and family onboarding processes.
• Step in to lead the center in the Director's absence.
