Main Purpose of Job
This position will function as an Assistant Director for Addictions Services and will coordinate, oversee and direct the behavioral health clinics and programs operated by the Garrett County Health Department. The Assistant Director will also oversee the fee for service clinics and also numerous grant programs that support mental health and substance related disorder treatment in the County; maintain partnerships with agencies and organizations involved in the treatment and recovery of persons in Garrett County with mental health, substance related and developmental disorders and, also work with community partners to develop the resources needed to address the addictions needs of the County.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidate must possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the field of Health Services, Behavioral Health or Addiction Services.Qualified candidate must also possess one of the following: LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) license with Board Approved Supervision (from the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists) LCSWC (Licensed Certified Social Work Clinical) license with Board Approved Supervision (from the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners)
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The desired candidate should possess: Supervisory or Managerial Experience Knowledge of and/or Experience with Budgets and Developing Departmental Policy and Procedures Excellent Communication (Oral and Written) and Organizational Skills
