Introduction

THIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO CURRENT EMPLOYEES OF THE MDH GARRETT COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ONLY.

Main Purpose of Job

This position will function as an Assistant Director for Addictions Services, coordinating, overseeing, and directing behavioral health clinics and programs operated by the Garrett County Health Department. The Assistant Director will oversee fee-for-service clinics and various grant programs supporting mental health and substance-related disorder treatment in the County. The role involves maintaining partnerships with agencies involved in treatment and recovery of individuals with mental health, substance-related, and developmental disorders, and collaborating with community partners to develop resources addressing the County's addiction needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Health Services, Behavioral Health, or Addiction Services. Additionally, candidates must hold one of the following licenses: LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) with Board Approved Supervision (from the Maryland State Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists) or LCSWC (Licensed Certified Social Work Clinical) with Board Approved Supervision (from the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners).

Desired or Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have supervisory or managerial experience, knowledge of and/or experience with budgets and departmental policy development, and excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.

This is a Management Service position, serving at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority. Applicants must upload a resume with their application.
