Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks an Assistant Director to lead the housekeeping operations under the Director of Environmental Services. You will coordinate Operations Managers, liaise with administration and hospital departments, and ensure top-level service.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and show experience in healthcare housekeeping with strong communication, budgeting, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Experience in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance preferred.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to manage staff and budgets; work well under stress.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules and duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services.
• Interviews, hires, evaluates, and terminates housekeeping staff as per standards.
• Orients, trains, develops and supervises all Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular inspections and evaluations; coordinates relocations as needed.
• Conducts staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Schedules major project work with adequate staffing and supplies.
• Maintains inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
