Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals McKinney is a Brooklyn-based 320-bed facility delivering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care with high CMS ratings. This role leads Emergency Management during off-hours, coordinates with NYPD/FDNY and internal teams, and resolves complex operational issues to maintain patient care and safety.

The candidate will bring a hospital admin background, data analysis skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

Master's or Bachelor's degree in hospital/healthcare administration or related field.
At least 1 year of administrative experience.
Equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
Knowledge of policies and programs for hospital operations; ability to analyze data and suggest actions.

Responsibilities

Primary operational point person for Emergency Management during non-business hours.
Interfaces with outside agencies (OME, NYPD, FDNY) and escalates to senior management.
Resolves operational issues as requested by management.
Manages staff incidents and implements SOPs with HR and Labor Relations.
During tours, responds to requests and ensures patient and facility needs are addressed.
Elevates issues to COO or CEO as appropriate.
Coordinates with nursing, medical, facilities, security and other departments to resolve issues.
Acts as incident commander during Emergency Management events until the Command Center is established.
Performs rounds and reports key operational statistics to senior management.
Handles grievances and forwards to Social Services and Risk.
