Job summary

SCIEX, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Director, Assistant Global Controller to lead global close, consolidation, and reporting with U.S. GAAP compliance. This on-site role in Marlborough, MA partners with regional finance teams to strengthen controls and drive DBS-driven improvements across the finance function.

You will oversee global close cycles, ensure timely reporting to executives, and develop technical accounting policy with strong leadership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field with 14+ years experience.
• Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years experience and 4+ years managing people.
• Progressive accounting and finance experience in a multinational or Big 4.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, consolidations, revenue recognition.
• Experience leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
• Extensive experience with SOX compliance, risk management, audits coordination.
• Proficiency with ERP, consolidation, reporting platforms; finance transformation preferred.
• Strong business partnership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and consolidation processes.
• Review consolidated financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and KPIs.
• Partner with regional finance teams to maintain a SOX-compliant control framework.
• Research complex accounting matters under U.S. GAAP and advise on transactions.
• Coordinate external audits, statutory reporting, and corporate compliance.
• Drive standardization, automation, and DBS-based process improvements.
• Coach and develop controllership associates with a culture of accountability.
