Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a facilities manager responsible for the general and preventive maintenance of the facility, equipment, building, and grounds. You will oversee operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise department staff.

The role includes budgeting, vendor oversight, on-call readiness, and leading small improvement projects while maintaining safe, efficient facilities for all occupants.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in facilities management or operations.
  • Five or more years' experience in similar position.
  • One or more years' supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.
  • Valid Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the activities involved in the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
  • Responsible for building operations including structural maintenance.
  • Responsible for regulatory and building code compliance.
  • Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of department staff.
  • Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
  • Ensure safe operations and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as project manager for small scale, short duration projects.
  • Develop and manage budget and inventory systems.
  • Manage the activities involved in the design and renovation projects for a facility.
  • Analyze metrics and make recommendations for improvements and solutions to issues that are identified.
  • Initiate and authorize repairs or replacements and prepare related cost estimates.
  • Be on-call for building emergencies.
  • Responsible for facility operational effectiveness and safety.
