Job summary

Legends Global Food and Beverage Division seeks an Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to direct operations at accesso ShoWare Center, ensuring premier guest experience and adherence to standards.

You will help lead marketing, budgeting, and contract negotiations while supervising staff and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to maximize revenue and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Beverage Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience in management position; 3 years in an arena/stadium setting.
  • Experience with inventory, cost control, ordering, receiving and stocking.
  • Experience with Point of Sale systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a marketing plan for F&B catering services for accesso ShoWare Center clients.
  • Lead capital projects to revamp F&B operations and drive revenue.
  • Create outside catering marketing plans for local events and festivals.
  • Evaluate sponsorship programs and pursue new revenue opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to promote F&B capabilities and success stories.
  • Manage relationships with tenants and respond to client needs and issues.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements for activities at the facility.
  • Direct and administer operating and marketing financial plans and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with health and liquor regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee F&B during events to ensure client satisfaction and quality control.
  • Analyze daily sales, attendance and labor costs for budgeting and cost control.
  • Inspect facilities for health, safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Maintain inventory controls and cost/quality standards.
  • Maintain professional work environment and adapt to long hours including nights/weekends/holidays.
  • Follow all rules, policies, and regulations governing F&B operations.

Job Title: Assistant Director of Food & Beverage

Department: Executive

Reports To: Director of Food and Beverage

FLSA Status: Exempt/Salaried/Full Time

Position Summary The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for direction and coordination of all Food and Beverage operations at the accesso ShoWare Center, and ensuring company standards are maintained. This individual will help to facilitate optimum operational efficiency, maximize profits, and provide exceptional customer service by performing the following duties individually or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a marketing plan for Food and Beverage catering services to accesso ShoWare Center clients.
  • Assist in the development and execution of capital projects, to revamp our food and beverage operation through conceptual design, space allocation, implementation of technology, to drive revenues, increase efficiencies, and enhance our guest experience.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of proactive outside catering marketing plans for local special events and festivals.
  • Evaluate existing venue food & beverage and alcohol-related sponsorship programs at venues and work with the Director of Food and Beverage to enhance the visibility of those sponsors; find new potential sponsorship and revenue-generating opportunities and partnerships within the accesso ShoWare Center facility.
  • Coordinate with Director of Marketing to generate more community awareness of department success stories and develop new public relations opportunities to promote food & beverage capabilities (chefs, unique menu items, off-site catering, success stories, best practices, etc).
  • Manage relationships with building tenants and respond to challenges, requests, and issues from general managers and team ownership.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements for necessary activities and services at the facility.
  • Direct and administer the execution of operating and marketing financial plans and documents; to include operating revenue and expense budgets; capital expense plans and budgets.
  • Evaluate facility practices and recommend improvements to better reflect the needs of the Client and the facility and/or to improve the efficiency and safety of operations, in compliance with organization.
  • Oversee Food & Beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards.
  • Analyze information concerning facility operations such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and to maintain cost control of facility operations.
  • Inspect food service facilities to ensure equipment and building meet state, local health laws and internal regulations
  • Maintain cost and quality control standards and reviews inventory controls with Food and Beverage staff
  • Inspect and sample prepared foods to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensures all staff adheres to State & Local Alcohol enforcement regulations.
  • Enforce all liquor laws & adhere to all health dept regulations.
  • Provide the highest customer service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all Savor F&B policies and procedures.
  • Required to speak and understand basic English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Maintain a professional work ethic.
  • Follows all rules and regulations which apply to the food and beverage operations and to Legends Global Food and Beverage Division.
  • Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (including other departments).
  • This position requires the ability to work flexible, sometimes long hours which include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources department; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Supervise and recognize human resource and personnel problems, deal constructively with conflict, supervise, and motivate personnel, provide counsel on routine and sensitive personnel matters, and execute applicable solutions.
Qualifications

Education And/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Beverage Management or related field desired
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience in management level position with three (3) of those years in a management function in an arena, convention center or stadium; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous responsibilities of inventory, cost control, ordering, receiving, & stocking of supplies and products.
  • Experience with Point of Sale systems preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Must have current Washington State Liquor License
  • Food handler certificate required from Health Department.
  • Must obtain ServSafe Manager, ServSafe Alcohol and ServSafe Allergen certifications as required by ASM Global Food and Beverage Division.

  • Possess skills and experience in contract negotiations, business law, labor relations, purchasing procedures and supervising personnel.
