Job summary

Tufts University’s Global Education division seeks an Assistant Director to oversee student participation in external education abroad and support Tufts Global Education initiatives. The role includes advising over 400 students annually, coordinating outreach, enrollment, pre-departure, and re-entry programs, and ensuring alignment with university policies.

The AD will determine transfer credit, monitor student experiences and health and safety, and collaborate with partners to improve programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5-7 years demonstrated experience in education abroad advising, program management, or global education administration.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and intercultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Advise students in affiliate education abroad programs and manage enrollment lifecycle in Terra Dotta and related systems.
• Lead and develop student outreach, pre-departure, and re-entry programming.
• Evaluate transfer of credit and coordinate with faculty, staff, and external partners.
• Develop partnerships and manage external study abroad program quality and safety.
