Job summary

The Goddard School located at 5760 North Garland Avenue, Garland, TX 75044 is seeking an Assistant Director to help oversee the daily operations, ensure the highest standards of education and care, and support the Director in managing staff and licensing compliance.

This role emphasizes community and family engagement, implementation of our proprietary Wonder of Learning program, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for children.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience teaching in early childhood education.
• Strong knowledge of child development and best practices in early learning.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine love for children and commitment to high-quality education.
• Must pass state background checks and meet state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administrative Support: assist in managing day-to-day operations of the school.
• Staff Management: support recruitment, training, development and supervision of staff.
• Curriculum and Program Development: assist in implementing Wonder of Learning® program to spark curiosity and growth.
• Family and Community Engagement: build and maintain positive relationships with families.
• Health and Safety: conduct safety drills and ensure licensing compliance.
