Job summary

University of South Carolina seeks an Assistant Director of Service and Community Living to lead community engagement programs and long-term planning. You will build campus-wide partnerships, supervise staff and student leaders, and manage program budgets in support of student leadership and service opportunities.

As part of the Leadership and Service Center, you will collaborate with campus partners, recruit and retain students, assess program effectiveness, and align activities with USC's

• Knowledge of the basic principles of student development and leadership.
• Ability to build partnerships with campus and community organizations.
• Experience planning and evaluating community service programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and implementation of community engagement initiatives for USC students.
• Supervise staff and student workers, set roles and expectations.
• Develop partnerships with nonprofits, government agencies, and educational institutions.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in campus committees to support initiatives.
• Develop budgets and monitor expenditures in accordance with university policy.
