Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New York seeks an Assistant Director of Community Programming to lead Spellman Center operations on the Lower East Side. This exempt, full-time role focuses on building partnerships, expanding services, and aligning programs with community needs.

You will supervise staff, coordinate programs, and work with Government Relations to grow impact while ensuring safe, welcoming center operations and strong community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in human services, nonprofit management, or community-based programming.
• Experience in community organizing, engagement, or coalition building.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day Spellman Center operations and client flow.
• Develop and evaluate community programs that address neighborhood needs.
• Engage residents and partners to ensure programming reflects community priorities.
• Develop partnerships with organizations, government agencies, and funders to expand services.
• Assist with budget management, program reporting, and staff supervision.
