Job summary

District Management Group (DMGroup) in Boston is seeking an Assistant Director, Client Results, to lead a Breakthrough Results team supporting K-12 districts. You will manage a portfolio of clients, work with teachers and leaders, and help districts achieve ambitious outcomes using DMGroup’s improvement science approach.

Responsibilities include designing programs aligned to district goals, creating data visualizations, leading client meetings, and coordinating coaches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum eight years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in management and leading through others.
  • Knowledge of the K-12 public education landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft productivity suites (Excel, PPT, G-Suite).
  • Ability to create impactful presentations and reports.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

  • Steward a portfolio of clients to craft and launch Breakthrough Results programs within their districts to achieve outstanding results.
  • Lead the development of robust program designs that link the district’s big strategic goals to concrete SMART goals, supervising historical analysis and benchmarking.
  • Support the team in partnering with the district to collect data, conduct analysis, and develop weekly/bi-weekly data visualizations that can support teacher teams in making adjustments to their practice on the path to their goals.
  • Plan and lead client meetings and steward client conversations and work to get results.
  • Manage DMGroup’s team of Performance Coaches on a client-by-client basis, informing the matching of coaches to district programs and ensuring that coaches have everything they need to actively coach district teacher teams to strong outcomes.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive, data-rich retrospective after each performance cycle with a client.
  • Operationalize the vision for Breakthrough Results, providing, alongside the team, robust logistical support to Breakthrough Results projects, including supporting the planning and launch of each client project, supporting schedule coordination between DMGroup coaches and client teacher teams, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with internal staff to ensure the continued growth and effectiveness of DMGroup's programs, including our membership network and events, research and publications, software, and consulting.
  • Serve on the Breakthrough Results Leadership Team, informing the direction of the team and setting the tone for team culture.
  • Travel up to 10% for onsite client visits
  • Other duties as reasonably assigned

Job description

DMGroup is hiring an Assistant Director, Client Results, for its Breakthrough Results Team. The Assistant Director will play an integral role within the team, working directly with leaders in K-12 public education, managing a portfolio of clients, and supporting teams of teachers and leaders in achieving extraordinary outcomes with their students using DMGroup’s Breakthrough Results Program model, rooted in the best practices of improvement science.

LOCATION

DMGroup’s headquarters are located in Boston, MA. This role will be based out of the Boston office with flexibility to work from home up to two days a week based on schedule and team needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate should have/be able to:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of eight years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in management and in leading through others to get results
  • Knowledge of the K-12 public education landscape
  • Robust qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Exceptional project and time management skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft product suites, especially Excel, PPT, and G-Suite
  • Ability to create impactful, information-filled presentations, memos, reports, data visualizations, and other collateral
  • Client presentation and facilitation experience
  • Strong communication and client relationship development skills
