The Learning Experience in Prince William County, VA seeks an experienced Assistant Center Director to lead daily childcare operations and support the teaching team to create an exceptional experience for children and families.

This hands-on leadership role involves coaching teachers, recruiting and onboarding staff, and coordinating family tours, events, and curriculum implementation under the LEAP framework. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Experience working in a licensed childcare or preschool setting is required.
• Lead/assistant director or childcare leadership experience is preferred.
• Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements for assigned responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of early childhood education and classroom operations.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising teaching staff is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable conducting family tours and building relationships with parents.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Professional education coursework or degrees (CDA/AA/BA) preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Center Director with daily operations of a licensed childcare center

• Maintain licensing documentation and support compliance with Virginia childcare regulations
• Assist with classroom observations and staff development
• Help coordinate school events, family engagement activities, and daily communications
• Step in to support classrooms and leadership as needed
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional school environment

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting required
• Previous Lead Teacher, Assistant Director, Center Director, or childcare leadership experience preferred
• Must meet applicable Virginia childcare licensing requirements for assigned responsibilities
• Strong understanding of early childhood education and classroom operations
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising teaching staff preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable conducting family tours and building relationships with parents
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
