Johnson C Smith University Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director to lead career-readiness programming and data-driven student engagement within The Smith Institute.

This in-person role partners with campus departments to transform career services into an integrated career-connected learning hub. The position oversees Handshake administration, employer relations, and data quality, while coordinating with HR, Financial Aid, and campus partners to ensure equity and outcomes across student

Competenze

• Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of three years of professional experience in university career services or related areas.
• Experience with Handshake or similar career-management platforms is strongly preferred.

Mansioni

• Provides operational leadership for career-readiness programming with measurable outcomes.
• Maintains an annual programming calendar sequencing career exploration to postgraduate transition.
• Develops dashboards and reports to monitor Handshake engagement, student participation, and outcomes.
• Manages employer engagement and talent-pipeline development to align with academic programs.
• Supports Work-Study and student employment programs in collaboration with HR and Financial Aid.
