Job summary

Principal Global Investors seeks an Executive‑level Assistant Director of Enterprise Architecture focused on Business Architecture. You will translate strategy into action, lead architecture across the Benefits & Protection unit, and partner with senior leaders to align business objectives with technology roadmaps.

You will shape capability maps, value streams, and target‑state architectures while mentoring others and contributing to enterprise reference models and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of related experience in a complex, multi‑business‑unit organization.
• Demonstrated Business Architecture expertise and related practice.
• Experience translating strategy into architecture implications, priorities and roadmaps.
• Experience presenting to executive management and senior leaders.
• Experience leading cross‑functional efforts involving business and tech disciplines.
• Strong analytical, facilitation and communication skills.
• Experience in Agile/product‑oriented planning environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy into business outcomes, capability priorities and roadmaps.
• Lead Business Architecture methods, facilitation and practice development.
• Connect strategy with portfolios, products, investments and roadmaps.
• Identify dependencies, impacts and modernization opportunities.
• Develop and steward reusable business perspectives and target states.
• Support product discovery, operating model design and major transformations.
• Bring business context into architecture reviews and governance forums.
• Coach and mentor other Business Architecture professionals.
