Job summary

The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) seeks an Assistant Director of Academic Support Services at the Greystone campus to oversee academic support, disability services and library support. You will supervise, train, schedule and evaluate tutoring center staff, and coordinate budgeting, planning and assessment to support student retention and graduation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Two years of academic/student support experience.
• Experience managing staff preferred.
• Experience with remote or branch locations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals, procedures and policies for Academic Support Services.
• Collaborate on budget planning for Library Learning Commons operations.
• Provide educational support services to diverse learners.
• Supervise, train and schedule peer tutors in the tutoring center.
• Collect data to predict future needs and plan appropriate programs.
• Offer individual academic support and mentorship to students.
• Coordinate outreach for CIA Cares and at-risk student programs.
• Update service delivery with faculty and technology integration.
• Support student success and tutoring program outcomes.
• Monitor ServSafe exam tutoring hours and study plans.
• Assist with assessment of learning outcomes and tutoring effectiveness.
• Assess disability needs and ensure proper documentation and accommodations.
