Description
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR-GREEK LIFE
The University of Alabama at Birmingham
Student Engagement provides a unified framework for advancing student success and belonging through opportunities for mentorship, leadership development, service, involvement, and community connection. Within this structure, the Office of Fraternity Sorority Life supports a vibrant fraternity and sorority community through student advising, leadership development, community programming, organizational support, and the development and implementation of policies and standards. The Assistant Director for Fraternity Sorority Life plays an important role in both the strategic and day-to-day operations of the fraternity and sorority community. In addition to advising fraternity and sorority governing councils, chapters, and student leaders, this position works closely with campus partners and external fraternity and sorority organizations to support the continued development and success of the community. The Office of Fraternity Sorority Life also plays a significant role in the operation of the Student Assembly Building, a central hub for student organization engagement and programming. The Fraternity Sorority Life team supports the day-to-day operations of the building, including the reservation and event registration processes for fraternities and sororities as well as the broader student organization community.
