RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for the Post Intensive Care Unit III at Community Medical Center. This 592-bed acute care hospital provides world-class treatment with hometown care, and serves over 21,500 inpatients annually.

The role involves overseeing patient care on a busy unit, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, mentoring staff, and collaborating with the Director on staffing, evaluations and quality initiatives to improve

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New Jersey RN License.
• At least 2 years acute care nursing experience or 2 years acute care nursing experience with previous management experience.

• Manages patient care delivery on an assigned shift.
• Ensure that Medical Surgical Unit is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Leadership skills; critical thinking, problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ambition and desire to positively impact patient care, patient experience and the overall success of the unit.
• Responsibilities include assisting the Director in managing the unit with staff schedules, evaluations, discipline & QI.

Job Overview

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for the Post Intensive Care Unit III at Community Medical Center.

Community Medical Center, is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state's newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County's largest and most active health care facility-caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New Jersey RN License
• At least 2 years acute care nursing experience or 2 years acute care nursing experience with previous management experience

Preferred

• Preferred Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating

Certifications and Licenses Required

• BLS Health Care provider through American Heart Association
• Additional certifications may be required as per the Administrative Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation "Certification" Policy

Scheduling Requirements

• Full Time Day Shift, 40 hours per week
