Job summary

Westminster Communities Of Florida seeks an Assistant Director of Dining Services in Saint Augustine to support the Dining Services Director and oversee all dining venues for residents, staff and guests. The role may require stepping in as interim Director when needed.

The position emphasizes compliance with sanitation and safety standards, scheduling, training, and ensuring a high-quality dining experience across all venues.

Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager or College Degree in related subject required.
• 5 years similar experience in a high-volume, hospitality oriented environment.
• Must be ServSafe certified or able to become certified within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff and organize the dept to meet daily dietary needs.
• Oversee equipment operation and preventive maintenance.
• Arrange training and in-service compliance (e.g., 5 Star Server, ServSafe).
• Supervise purchasing functions and inventories.

Located in the heart of World Golf Village, Westminster St. Augustine, a Life Plan Community, is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Dining Services to work on a full-time basis. This leader assists the Dining Services Director in planning, coordination and implementation of the quality dining program for residents, staff and guests. In addition, they will oversee the services component of the dining program in all of the dining areas within the community. At the discretion of Administration, the Assistant Dining Service Director may be required to act as the interim Dining Service Director in the event of their absence or vacant position.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

The Assistant Director of Dining Services must comply with all applicable rules, policies, standards and guidelines related to employment with Westminster and it’s communities, including:

• Assume the responsibilities of the Department Director in his/her absence.
• Scheduling staff and organizing the dept to meet daily dietary needs.
• Ensures proper equipment operation and that preventive maintenance are met.
• Schedule training and In-service compliance as needed (IE. 5 Star Server training and ServSafe certification).
• Supervises purchasing functions and inventories.
• Implement, oversee and document sanitation guidelines for all dining services venues.
• Oversee daily dining service meals to ensure an overall quality resident experience.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and Basic Knowledge:Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office. Proficiency with data-base types of menu systems for menu forecasting, menu building and recipe creation. Supervisory Leadership

Requirements:Ability to hold effective meetings. Ability to learn computer programs as defined by Westminster Communities of Florida. Ability to work as a member of the dining services management team.

Physical and Environmental Requirements and sensory and communicative activities involve:Finger Dexterity, Grasping, Reaching, Standing, Sitting, Lifting (up to 50 lbs.), Bending, Walking, Hearing, Speaking, Seeing, Manual Dexterity, Tasting, Smelling

An individual in this position will be exposed to:
