Job summary

Dateline NBC is seeking a creative Assistant Producer to produce and grow engaging digital content across platforms. This hybrid role is based in New York, requiring office presence four days a week.

The position requires at least 1 year of newsroom experience, a bachelor’s degree, and video editing skills with WildMoka, Premiere, and MPX. You will manage metadata, publish content, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of newsroom and reporting experience.
• Video editing experience.
• Working knowledge of CMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Review story submissions, answer DMs, and flag stories to pitch.
• Monitor comments across social media accounts.
• Input metadata for upcoming broadcasts.
• Assist in creating and publishing content on Dateline’s social media accounts.
• Cut and archive digital library of Dateline full episodes.
• Write recap articles for recent episodes and for Cold Case Spotlight/Missing in America series.
• Interact live with followers during episodes on East Coast airings.
• Collaborate with sales, analytics, marketing, product and press teams.
