Avantara Norton in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an Assistant Dietary Manager to join our caring team. You will support the Dietary Department by planning and directing operations, supervising staff, and ensuring meals meet residents' nutritional needs and high quality standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, food sanitation certification, and at least two years of Assistant Dietary Manager experience in a healthcare setting; SD CDM certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and food sanitation certification required.
• Two years of Assistant Dietary Manager experience in a healthcare setting.
• South Dakota CDM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and directing all aspects of the Dietary Department.
• Supervise Dietary Staff and ensure department cleanliness.
• Ensure residents receive meals that meet nutritional needs and high quality standards.

As an Assistant Dietary Manager you will be critical to the operations of the Dietary Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Avantara Norton by assisting in planning and directing all aspects of the Dietary Department, supervising Dietary Staff, ensuring department cleanliness and ensuring residents receive meals that meet their nutritional needs. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent and food sanitation certification. Two (2) years of Assistant Dietary Manager experience in a healthcare setting and State of South Dakota and Dietary Manager Certification (C.D.M.) are preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
