Job summary

Evergreen in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a dietary aide to assist the Dietary Supervisor in planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the dietary department. The role focuses on delivering quality nutritional services daily and maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining area.

You will work with the dietitian to ensure appropriate food supplies, manage budgeting with the Administrator, and participate in cost-effective ordering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in a food service department or healthcare setting.
• Good communication with residents, physicians and staff.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

This position is responsible for ensuring that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

• $23.00 - $26.00 per hour depending one experience!

How You Will Help People Every Day

• Work with the dietitian to provide quality nutritional services.
• Ensure that appropriate levels of food supplies are available.
• Order supplies in a cost-effective and cost-efficient manner, as needed.
• Ensure equipment is maintained appropriately and, in conjunction with the Administrator, order replacement equipment, as necessary.
• Assist in developing & maintaining the department budget.

What You Need To Join Our EPIC Team

• 3+ years of related experience in a food service department; experience in a long term or health care facility preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
