This role supports the Dietary Director by managing and maintaining the culinary department, ensuring policy adherence and regulatory compliance, and helping control expenses within budgetary guidelines.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a food service setting.
• At least 2 years of food service experience.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability for some weekend and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dietary Director in organizing and implementing policies and procedures of the Culinary Department.
• Assist Dietary Director in ensuring Culinary Services compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Assist Dietary Director in operating within a budget by monitoring and controlling expenses.
• Produce department work schedules as assigned by the Dietary Director.
• Oversee coverage of staffing shortages.
• Assist Dietary Director in completing food orders and supplies and receiving deliveries.
• Assist Dietary Director in completing physical inventories when placing orders.

Requirements

• Supervisory experience, preferably in the food service industry
• 2 years' experience in food service.
• Experience in long-term care preferred
• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain
• Reliable transportation
• Availability to work some weekend and evening shifts as needed
