Job summary

Dreamwear Inc. is seeking an Assistant Designer for the Nicole Miller Sleepwear team in New York. You will translate concepts into production-ready artwork and technical packages, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive design from concept to final samples.

The ideal candidate has a strong eye for color, print, trend, and garment construction, with proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop, plus excellent organizational and communication skills for fast-paced development cycles.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• Previous internship or other relevant industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Illustrator & Photoshop is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Passion for fashion and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of seasonal and customer-driven Nicole Miller sleepwear collections.
• Research seasonal trends, colors, prints, fabrics, silhouettes, and details to support new collections.
• Work closely with senior team on print, artwork, color, fabrication, and trim selection.
• Assist with flat sketching and maintain organized fabric, trim, print, and color libraries.
• Develop and execute production-ready print and graphic artwork, sized and colored for production.
• Create organized technical development packages with construction details and specs.
• Prepare and send tech packs, sample requests, production artwork, and color standards.
