Job summary

Dreamwear is a leading wholesale intimate apparel and sleepwear brand, seeking an Assistant Designer to join the Nicole Miller Sleepwear team. You will translate creative concepts into production-ready artwork and technical packages, with a strong eye for color, print, and trend.

The role requires Illustrator and Photoshop proficiency, garment construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Illustrator & Photoshop is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of seasonal and customer-driven Nicole Miller sleepwear collections.
• Research seasonal trends, colors, prints, fabrics, silhouettes, and details to support the development of new collections.
• Work closely with senior team members on print, artwork, color, fabrication, and trim selection.
• Assist with flat sketching and maintain organized fabric, trim, print, and color libraries.
• Develop and execute production-ready print and graphic artwork, ensuring artwork is accurately sized, colored, and prepared for production.
• Create organized and accurate technical development packages, including construction details, sketches, fabrications, trims, prints, and color specifications.
• Prepare and send tech packs, sample requests, production artwork, and color standards.
• Communicate with overseas factories regarding product development, artwork, samples, and production needs.
• Track and follow up on sample development, fabric and trim sourcing, artwork, and related deliverables.
• Review incoming samples with the Design team and assist with comments and revisions throughout the development process.
• Assist with preparing seasonal presentations, line reviews, and customer meetings.
• Partner with Design, Product Development, Technical Design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure projects remain organized and on schedule.
