Job summary

Rhoback is seeking an organized Assistant Designer - Special Projects to join our design team. This entry-level role supports the design department across licensed apparel collections, collaborations, and PGA Tour events, with a focus on color CADs, line sheets, and documentation.

The Role

Rhoback is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Designer - Special Projects to join our dynamic design team. This entry-level role will provide critical support to our design department by assisting with the design, organization, and management of special projects, which is comprised of licensed apparel collections (NCAA, NFL, MLB), collaborations, PGA Tour events, as well as accessories. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for design with exceptional attention to detail, experience in Adobe Creative Suite, and working knowledge of PLM systems. A college degree in fashion, graphic design, or a related field is preferred.

What You’ll Do
  • Assortment Management & Organization: Assist in creating, maintaining, and organizing seasonal line sheets for special projects and licensed apparel assortments within Adobe Illustrator and other platforms (VibeIQ, Figma, etc.). The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all design elements, samples, and documentation are compiled into a bill of materials for external partners in accordance with decisions made by stakeholders.
  • Design Assistance: Support the creation of color CADs (Computer-Aided Design) for special projects collections and assortments. Assist in generating logo, print, and graphic design concepts that align with brand aesthetics and seasonal themes.
  • Accessories: Contribute to the design and development of accessories, including but not limited to headwear, golf club covers, socks, and belts.
  • Client Pitch Decks: Contribute to the creation of novel collections of prints, solids, stripes and heathered colors in our existing product models within the special projects and licensed space to be reviewed internally, then offered to our collaborative partners.
  • Print, Trim, and Lab Dip Management: Partner with Print Design and Product Development on the submission and approval process for strikeoffs and lab dips, ensuring they align with the color specifications and project requirements.
  • Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Planning, and Technical Design teams to ensure designs are executed effectively, meet production timelines, and align with business goals.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong understanding of fashion design, apparel production, and textile materials.
  • Proficiency in design software (primarily Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or CAD software is a bonus).
  • Experience with PLM systems is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Education And Experience
