Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a department leader in Michigan to guide a produce-focused team during primetime hours. You will partner with the store and department leaders to foster a high-performance culture and deliver a consistently great experience for Every Customer, Every Time.

Responsibilities include driving department goals, managing orders and backstock, training associates, ensuring safety and merchandising standards, and executing promotions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude; share information.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Ensure orders are put up timely, backstock is worked, and product is replenished.
• Train and develop associates on performance and participate in appraisals.
• Create an welcoming environment; answer questions and assist customers in-store.
• Inform customers of specials and offer samples to drive discovery of items.
• Maintain merchandising standards; inspect quality and freshness and take action.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management; inform about promotions.
• Ensure in-stock behaviors and period promotional plans are executed daily.
• Maintain clean backrooms and prep areas; implement 5S practices.
• Plan inventory processes; monitor stock conditions and CAO training.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases; maintain temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs; report safety risks and incidents.
