Overview

The role aims to develop skills, knowledge, and expertise to be a successful Deli Manager. You will supervise and ensure guest service, merchandising, and departmental operations are maintained to maximize sales, and you will assume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence.

Pay starts at $19/hour. Earn an additional $1.00/hour premium for all hours worked from 05/11/25 to 09/06/25.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli staff.
  • Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies.
  • Operate according to merchandising and operational guidelines.
  • Ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards.
  • Provide training, guidance, and feedback to staff.
  • Perform product prep, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service tasks.
  • Manage labor budget and scheduling.
  • Perform PA announcements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to read and understand information and directions.
  • Knowledge of deli operations.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and develop staff.
  • Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
  • Effective communication and guest service skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Effective communication with management and staff.
  • Proficiency with computers.
