Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Deli Manager in Charleston, SC to supervise deli operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and drive sales within the department. This role reports to the store management team and will oversee daily merchandising and staff performance.

Pay starts at $19 per hour with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K and pension, shopping discounts, paid time off, and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work well with computers.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

To gain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to be considered a successful Deli Manager. To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the deli department to achieve maximum sales. Assume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence.
