Job summary

Floco Foods in South Carolina seeks a dedicated Deli/Bakery Host to deliver friendly guest service and uphold product quality. You will help manage inventory, scheduling and labor budgets while following sanitation standards and company programs.

This role requires the ability to lift moderate weights, supervise team members and communicate effectively with store leadership to meet sales goals.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to read and understand information and direction
• Knowledge of deli operations
• Ability to supervise hosts including training and development
• Demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods
• Ability to effectively communicate with the Store Manager and Merchandiser
• Ability to work well with computers

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department hosts.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli/bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guests service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Performs PA announcements.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
