Job summary

Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles seeks an Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions to lead the Admissions Office for the CDU Medical School.

You will manage electronic applicant files, coordinate screening and data entry, and support communications and calendar planning for admissions decisions. You will contribute to LCME/ WASC compliance, participate in policy development, and work across committees to align student admissions with educational programs.

Qualifications

• D. or Ph.D. from a regionally accredited university.
• Academic credentials appropriate for appointment to the COM faculty, at the rank of Assistant or Associate.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a member of a medical school admissions
• Leadership experience with demonstrated skill in staff supervision, team building and personnel and program leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and is responsible for all aspects of application management for the CDU Medical School.
• Oversees screening of all applicants and processing changes in admissions and student records.
• Oversees data entry and paperless admissions systems and related software.
• Oversees communications for admissions decisions and generates admissions calendars.
