Rutgers University is seeking an Assistant Dean III‑Nursing Student Success Coach and Retention Specialist to lead targeted coaching for at‑risk nursing undergraduates, fostering success, progression, and retention.
You will collaborate with faculty and support services to implement data‑driven retention strategies and oversee the Nursing Tutoring Center, offering individualized and group coaching as well as remediation support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field plus five years' experience, with active NJ RN license.
- Master’s degree, Certified Nurse Educator credential, and experience in nursing education and retention preferred.

- Identify and support at-risk undergraduate nursing students to promote success and retention.
- Provide individual and group academic coaching, including nursing content and clinical reasoning support.
- Develop and deliver interventions using in-person and technology-enhanced methods.
- Collaborate with administrators, faculty, advisors, and data professionals on retention initiatives.
- Utilize the Navigate Early Alert System to manage student cases and coordinate outreach.
- Manage the Nursing Tutoring Center including tutor recruitment, training, and scheduling.
- Require a Bachelor\'s degree in Nursing or related field plus five years\' experience, with active NJ RN license.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, Certified Nurse Educator credential, and experience in nursing education and retention.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, learning management systems, student information systems, and educational technologies like Navigate and Canvas.
- Salary range: $77,919 to $114,989 annually, with benefits including medical, dental, retirement plans, and paid leave.
