Job Summary: | The Office of Medical Education at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CUSOM) is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Dean of Medical Education, Clinical Clerkships, within the Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) Office at the Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC). Reporting to the Associate Dean of Medical Education, the Assistant Dean of Medical Education - Clinical Clerkship oversees and coordinates all aspects of LIC operations, student support services, community engagement, and team support for the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships (LICs) and Foothills Curriculum. This position provides strategic leadership and ensures the effective development, delivery, and continuous quality improvement of both clinical and classroom learning experiences. Key responsibilities include hiring and onboarding LIC Directors, specialty site liaisons, and the Foothills Curriculum Director; supervising grading processes; integrating curriculum components; and supporting students and faculty across clinical training sites. Additionally, the Assistant Dean supports faculty recruitment and development and ensures comparability and excellence across all LIC sites. The role also emphasizes cultivating strong relationships with key faculty and leadership, including the Associate and Assistant Deans across Medical Education and Student Life; the Director of Basecamps; the COMPASS Program Director; the Director of the Clinical Pillar; the Associate Dean of Assessment, Evaluation, and Outcomes (or relevant AEO leadership); and the Clinical Content Directors (CCDs).
