The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an Assistant Data Scientist to support computational and scientific initiatives in proton therapy and radiation physics. You will contribute to software development, data analysis, and treatment-planning technologies under supervision.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing data-related problems, formalisms, algorithms, and software applications.
- Contribute to the development of complex proton therapy algorithms under direct supervision.
- Support programming activities across multiple systems and technical environments.
- Participate in software implementation efforts related to proton dose computations and treatment planning.
- Contribute to analysis activities supporting the development of formalisms, algorithms, and software.
- Assist with complex applications involving dose computations.
- Support Monte Carlo techniques used in radiation physics applications.
- Participate in treatment planning studies utilizing developed computational systems.
- Contribute to image processing, measurements, and data analysis initiatives related to proton therapy.
