Job summary

Suffolk Construction is hiring an Assistant Estimator for Data Centers in Boston, MA. The role supports pre-construction through post-bid activities within our Estimating department.

You will assist with bid preparation, subcontractor coordination, and value engineering on complex data center projects. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of MEP estimating experience, proficiency with takeoffs and estimating software, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field ( Electrical/Mechanical Eng, Construction Management, Architecture ).
• 2–5 years of experience in MEP Estimating or equivalent; Electrical Estimating experience preferred.
• Proficiency with quantity takeoffs, Excel/Word, and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with subs regarding bidding and update the subcontractor bid list.
• Understand a scope of work prepared by an Estimator and provide scoping assistance.
• Write and send out an Invitation to Bid.
