Assistant County Attorney I, II, III - Criminal Division

Join our team as an Assistant County Attorney I, II, III - Criminal Division at Anoka County.

Position Overview

This full-time, exempt position involves working within the Anoka County Attorney's Office Criminal Division, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor crimes, and representing the county in legal proceedings. The role offers hybrid work options and requires in-person presence at the Anoka County Government Center in Anoka.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the government in hearings, trials, and appeals.
  • Prepare legal documents, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Coordinate investigations with law enforcement.
  • Advise and train law enforcement officers and government staff.
  • Gather evidence, interview witnesses, and present cases in court.
  • Provide legal opinions and conduct training for government employees.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in Minnesota.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges vary by level: Attorney I ($74,269 - $103,968), Attorney II ($85,412 - $119,568), Attorney III ($117,869 - $164,955). Benefits include health insurance, pension contributions, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
