Job summary

Fuyao in Moraine, OH is seeking an Assistant Cost Account Manager in the Finance Department to oversee cost accounting, production data analysis and cost control across the plant.

You will lead the cost accounting team, organize daily to monthly reporting, and monitor budgets to identify variances and cost-saving opportunities. Proficiency with Oracle/PLEX and ERP systems is preferred; a minimum of 2 years in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train the cost accounting staff, approving attendance and coordinating daily workload.

• Review cost control and manufacturing expense activity for compliance and proper cost allocation.

1 Supervise and train the cost accounting and statistician staff, including approving attendance and coordinating the team’s daily workload to ensure timely and accurate completion of cost accounting and statistical tasks.

2 Organize and lead the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly production and cost analysis reports, and conduct regular cost analysis meetings with plant management and operations teams.

3 Organize and review short-term and long-term budgets prepared by the cost accounting team, and track performance against budget to identify variances and cost-saving opportunities.

4 Review cost control and manufacturing expense activity in strict accordance with the company’s expense-reimbursement regulations, ensuring compliance and proper cost allocation.

5 Review statistical statements prepared by statisticians for accuracy and completeness and ensure alignment between statistical reporting and accounting records.

6 Oversee product cost accounting, including handling related accounts and preparing cost statements for the plant’s product lines in the manufacturing environment.

7 Prepare production quotas and supervise the correctness and fairness of quota implementation across the plant.

8 Administer the inventory check system to guarantee the consistency of physical inventory and accounting records; investigate and determine the causes of any discrepancies and assign responsibility accordingly.

9 Monitor the inventory of work-in-process (unfinished) products and coordinate initiatives to reduce month-end work-in-process inventory levels.

10 Organize the cost accountant team to periodically review and update statistical policies and production incentive policies to support cost control and productivity objectives.

11 Perform additional duties as assigned by management consistent with the scope of the position.

Job Requirements Language Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and/or Mandarin. - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.

Experience At least 2 years of experience in accounting;

Education Bachelor or above in Finance, Accounting or related fields.

Physical Condition The employee is regularly required to stand or sit for long periods. Duties will include long periods of viewing a computer monitor.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
