Job summary

Fuyao Glass America Inc. in Moraine, OH seeks a Shift Supervisor for the Tempering Pre-Assembly Dept to lead production, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive cost control.

You will supervise a diverse team, coordinate with maintenance and quality control, implement 5S, and report KPI performance to the Lead Supervisor.

Qualifications

• 1 year manufacturing experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Report to Lead supervisor and plan production based on production orders.
• Ensure plant safety, supervise safety management by supervisors; ensure personal, production, equipment and environmental safety.
• Manage production quality and cost, monitor KPIs to meet company requests.
• Coordinate pre-shift meetings; report production, quality and work regulation issues.
• Solve production issues and organize personnel to address problems.
• Coordinate with financial and statistics departments for stock taking and bonus management.
• Oversee preparation of positions before production; ensure operators follow 3 operation instructions.
• Provide initial and formal training and multi-position training; follow up on evaluations.

II. Job Summary：
Responsible for the management and supervision of personnel, production, work regulations, quality. Implement cost management strictly. Improve production output and quality effectively.

III. Job Functions and Duties

NO. Representative Duties

1 Report to Lead supervisor, organize and plan production based on production orders.

2 Be responsible for plant safety issue, guiding and supervising safety management by supervisors; ensuring personal safety, production safety, equipment safety, and environmental sanitation, etc.

3 Fully responsible to production quality and cost, manage and control each KPI in order to fulfill company's requests.

4 Implement pre-shift meeting regulation. Report production, quality, work regulation issues.

5 Responsible to solve production issues, organize personnel to solve problems.

6 Responsible for work coordination, assist financial department and statistic department in plant stock taking and bonus management.

7 Supervise the preparation of each positions before production, Monitor work regulations, quality, safety. Make sure that operators will work according to 3 operation instructions.

8 Prepare initial training, formal training and multi-positions training, Implementation evaluation follow up.

9 Collect shift production data, analyze shift production and quality status, report to Lead supervisor.

10 Implement 5s and visionary management on-site. Keep safe and clean environment. Keep things at appropriate spots.

11 In case of emergency, follow the instructions in emergency plan.

12 Responsible for quality document and record management. Manage and supervise equipment and tools in plant.

13 Double check the accuracy of production report preparation and import to system. Make sure the responsible warehouse materials quantities match system record.

14 Identify workplace environment factors, hazard resource and control methods.

15 Strictly implement the regulations of comprehensive management system.

16 Take care of sorting and storage of own waste.

17 Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements Language Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and/or Mandarin. - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
