Job summary

Dynalectric Company is seeking a drafter to produce electrical BIM shop drawings using Revit and AutoCAD MEP. You’ll lay out electrical systems in 3D for BIM coordination and communicate progress to keep on-track delivery and quality. Expect travel to various project sites and adherence to safety policies.

Strong experience with the Autodesk suite and electrical construction projects is required. This role is office-based with site travel as needed and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience using Revit and CAD in electrical projects.
• Ability to create installation shop drawings from contract drawings.
• Knowledge of BIM coordination processes and 3D layout.

Job Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoDesk Revit and AutoCAD MEP programs to create installation shop drawings and sketches from contract drawings.
• Responsible for layout of electrical systems, cable trays, conduit and equipment in 3D for BIM coordination.
• Communicate project status to report target delivery, productivity and quality of drawings.
• Travel to various project sites as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Comply with all company operating policies, procedures and safety programs as established.

Compensation Range: $35-$40 per hour

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this position must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for an extended period of time and frequently stand and walk. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move office equipment up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include viewing computer monitors. Some duties in this position are performed under periodically disagreeable working conditions of a jobsite including: working outside, at times in inclement weather; and exposure to water, dust, dirt, grease, paint fumes, chemicals, and equipment noise and vibration. Most work is performed in an office environment during normal business hours.
