Job Description:

An Assistant Cook ensures the kitchen is orderly and assists Cooks in food preparation. Responsibilities include cleaning, washing dishes, and supporting the efficient operation of the kitchen.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in food preparation such as cleaning, chopping, and peeling ingredients
  • Clean and sanitize food prep areas according to hygiene standards
  • Wash, disinfect, and store utensils and equipment properly
  • Manage ingredients and supplies procurement and storage
  • Operate kitchen appliances including cutters, knives, mixers, and ovens
  • Manage inventory and organize the storeroom
  • Contribute to programs aimed at improving service quality and productivity
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and utensils
  • Develop new menu items and improvise existing ones
  • Manage kitchen expenses, food costs, inventory, and staffing within budget
  • Ability to cook North Indian cuisine
