Job Description:

An Assistant Cook assists in preparing and arranging food, ensuring the kitchen is orderly. Responsibilities include cleaning, washing dishes, and supporting the Cook to run the kitchen efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in food preparation: cleaning, cutting, chopping, peeling ingredients
  • Clean and sanitise food prep areas according to hygiene and safety standards
  • Wash, disinfect, and store utensils and equipment properly
  • Buy, weigh, and store ingredients and supplies
  • Operate kitchen appliances including cutters, knives, mixers, ovens
  • Manage inventory and organise storeroom
  • Contribute to programs to improve service quality and productivity
  • Maintain clean work areas and equipment
  • Develop new menu items and improvise existing ones
  • Manage kitchen expenses, food costs, inventory, and staffing within budget
  • Ability to cook North Indian cuisine
  • Willing to do shift work
