Job summary

Aduro Advisors is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage client relationships and oversee accounting processes. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years in the alternative asset industry with deep knowledge of US GAAP. Responsibilities include financial statement preparation, managing workflow among team members, and client communication.

This position offers a competitive salary between $90,000 - $120,000, health benefits, and a dog-friendly office environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in alternative asset industry; Venture Capital and/or Private Equity preferred.
• In-depth understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting including complex allocation waterfalls.
• Experience in a client-facing role leading engagements on multiple clients.

Responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact for multiple clients managing workflow.
• Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries.
• Drive month-end close process and raise follow-up questions where needed.

Skills

Experience in the alternative asset industry

Understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting

Client-facing experience

Problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

Education

Externally audited experience / CPA certification / MBA
