Job summary

Quality Collision Group in McKinney, TX is seeking a CPA-qualified Assistant Controller to own the monthly close across a multi-location network and drive the finance function as we scale through acquisitions. This hands-on leadership role partners with finance leadership and our PE sponsor to deliver accurate financials on a tight close calendar.

You bring an active CPA, 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience (including multi-entity close), strong US GAAP knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with a modern ERP system.
• Experience in PE-backed or multi-site business is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close across multiple locations and entities.
• Review journals, reconciliations, accruals and intercompany activity.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for leadership and PE sponsor.
• Coordinate annual external audit and quarterly reviews.
• Design and maintain internal controls across a multi-site network.
• Lead accounting integration of acquisitions; map chart of accounts and onboarding.
• Drive process improvements and automation to shorten close.
• Mentor and develop staff accountants.
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and shop leadership on budgeting and forecasting.
