Job summary

Storm Industries is seeking an Assistant Controller in Carson, CA to partner with the Controller and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensure US GAAP reporting, and manage general ledger, inventory accounting, and internal controls.

This hands-on role works with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Engineering to translate financial data into actionable insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and drive process improvements across ERP and financial systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• CPA or CMA preferred; MBA or advanced degree an asset.
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; manufacturing or distribution background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close to ensure accurate results and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review US GAAP financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting, pricing, and variances; maintain internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and working capital initiatives.
• Coordinate audits and tax support; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
