The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience and supervisory responsibilities.

ERP proficiency and strong Excel skills are essential; CPA/CMA designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience overseeing payroll, multi-state tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP software and advanced Excel; Google Workspace a plus.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communicational skills.
• Interpersonal skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in managing daily accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll, GL).
• Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff.
• Ensure compliance with multi-state and federal laws and GAAP.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes promptly and accurately.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end reviews.
• Develop and implement financial strategies and forecasts with the Controller.
• Maintain internal controls to protect company assets and mitigate risk.
• Evaluate procedures for efficiency improvements.
• Support ERP implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
